Isidro Cistaré
I. Cistaré is the artistic pseudonym of Isidro Cistaré (1947 Barcelona, Spain) was born amid a family strictly related to art . His father ,a well-know medallist, lived in close contact with sculptors, painters and draughtsmen.
Since his early childhood Cistaré was attracted by the artistics activities, he began drawing when he studied at the Escolapios de Sarriá school (Barcelona) . At the age of 14 he started attending the Massana school, after which he joined the jewellery atelier of Rafael Serrahima, where he started his education as a drawer (draughtsman).
At the age of 21, he joined the family atelier to continue his father´s company. Simultaneously, he took a master´s degree in business-management at Instituto Esade.
He started to attend exhibits and museums in Spain and in several parts of the world, where he used to take notes that he soon transferred to the canvas. Then he began to dedicate himself exclusively to neo-impressionism and developed his own style.
He participated in innumerous collectives and individual exhibits in Spain, in European countries and in Brazil.
His work can be found in several private collections and in heritages of Spanish museums and in the Museum of Art of the São Paulo Parliament.
